Len Perham - Chairman
Mr. Perham has been a successful entrepreneur with over 30 years of executive leadership and semiconductor industry experience. Since retiring from Integrated Device Technology in 2000, Mr. Perham has been chairman of the board of NetLogic Microsystems (NASDAQ:NETL), chairman of the board at QuickSil a mixed signal foundry, chairman of the board of Optimal Corporation, Corporate Advisor to Imera Systems and Venture Partner with AsiaTech Management.
From 1991 to 2000, Mr. Perham served as CEO of Integrated Device Technology (NASDAQ:IDTI). He was appointed president and elected to the board of directors in 1986. During his 16-year tenure, Mr. Perham incubated several companies under the IDT umbrella including Galileo Technology (acquired by Marvell Technology), Quantum Effect Devices (acquired by PMC-Sierra), Monolithic System Technology, Clear-Logic and Centaur Technology. Prior to joining IDT, Mr. Perham was president and CEO of Optical Information Systems Inc., a division of Exxon. He was also a member of the founding team at Zilog Inc. and held management positions at Advanced Micro Devices and Western Digital.
Mr. Perham received a BS in electrical engineering from Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts in 1968.
Katherine Jen
A pioneer in Taiwan’s capital industry, Katherine has substantial experience in finance, deal structuring, and venture capital investment. Katherine founded AsiaTech as a venture firm in Silicon Valley in 1997. Throughout years, AsiaTech invested in over 60 high-tech companies. AsiaTech is devoted to supports the investments in terms of their stage in corporate life, industry sector focus, local marketing and manufacturing requirements and relationships. Most importantly, the partners of AsiaTech have a marketable relationship in Greater China. The successful investments of AsiaTech are including NetScreen, Protego, NetLogic, Intoto, NeoSolar, ClearShape, etc. Katherine received her LLB from National Taiwan University.
Frank Hawe - Founder & CTO
Frank is a founder of QuickSil Inc. and has over 25 years experience in the semiconductor industry. His experience includes expertise in numerous facets of IC manufacturing, CMOS, BiPolar, High Voltage CMOS, etc. and Quality Systems. For seven years prior to starting QuickSil Inc. in January of 1993, Frank operated, in conjunction with Peter Duncan, Valley Process Technology (VPT), a consulting firm specializing in semiconductor process technologies. Major clients included Motorola's Indala Division where he designed RFID products, ECI, where he ran operations during its recovery, and AcuMos (now part of Cirrus Logic) where he established their quality systems. Prior to founding VPT Frank was a Senior Development Engineer at Telmos, was the Engineering Manager for Wafer Fab for Semi Processes Inc. (1980-1983), Litronix (1978-1980), Eurosil Gmbh (1975-1978), and National Semiconductor, Scotland (1972-1975). Frank has an MS in Electronics from the University of Southampton (England), and a BS (Honors) from the University of Leicester (England).
